If you want to turn left, you cut across the path of oncoming traffic. So you must let the vehicles coming towards you pass first.

The rule
If you want to turn left, you cut across the path of oncoming traffic. So you must let the vehicles coming towards you pass first – even if you both have priority.
This also applies to oncoming bicycles and mopeds.
Remember: Turning left = wait for oncoming traffic.
